The Dubai Municipality announced on Sunday that the two-kilometer-long Dubai Creek wharf on the Deira side was now finished. The project, which cost Dh112 million, intends to improve operational efficiency, fortify the quay's infrastructure, and increase the historical waterway's appeal to tourists and businesspeople.
The dock was outfitted with 500 ship berths and 200 anchors, and the retaining wall was raised to 8.3 meters. These improvements strengthen the creek's capacity to accommodate a range of commercial and tourism-related marine activities while also improving the safety of maritime operations.
One of the most significant maritime thoroughfares in the emirate, Dubai Creek, has a rich history that the Dubai Municipality is working to preserve with this development.
