Cyclists participating in this year’s Dubai Ride will have a chance to win exciting cash prizes through the first-ever Dress Your Ride competition, which offers Dh10,000 in each of four categories: Best Overall Bike, Most Creative Theme, Best Family Costume and Best Group Costume.
Participants can enter by decorating their bicycles, dressing up in creative outfits or combining both. Official event photographers will capture their entries during the event.
Presented by DP World, the sixth Dubai Ride takes place on Sunday, November 1, transforming Sheikh Zayed Road into a cycling track as thousands of riders pass landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Dubai Opera and the Museum of the Future.
Dubai Ride kicks off the 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge, running from October 31 to November 29. Launched in 2017, the initiative encourages 30 minutes of daily exercise for 30 days and has attracted over 16 million participants across nine editions.
Dubai Ride offers two free routes: a 12km Sheikh Zayed Road Route for experienced cyclists, passing major landmarks, and a 4km Downtown Family Route around Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa, suitable for families and beginners. The event is not a race, and riders must follow the 25km/h speed limit.
Registration is mandatory through dubaifitnesschallenge.com. Parents or guardians can register up to three children and accept the required waivers for those under 18.
Registered participants must collect their bib numbers and T-shirts from the Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village at Zabeel Park between October 28 and 31.
