Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed 13 cycling tracks as part of its plan to build 15 routes across the emirate, covering a total of 162 km.
The integrated network connects key areas, including Al Khawaneej to Al Mamzar Beach, Al Warqa’a to Saih Al Salam, and DIFC to Jumeirah.
The RTA is also constructing several major pedestrian and cycling bridges across key roads such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Dubai–Al Ain Road, Sheikh Zayed Road, and Al Khail Road to enhance connectivity.
All tracks are expected to open in the second quarter of this year.
Completed works include cycling tracks in Al Khawaneej 2 and Al Barsha 2, a 700-metre track in Tolerance District under the Soft Mobility Project, 25 km of dedicated cycling and e-scooter lanes, upgraded pedestrian walkways, Safe Streets improvements, and new links connecting areas to metro and bus stations.
Additional projects include a bridge over Al Manara Street, 11 km of tracks in Al Warqa’a, and around 10 km of cycling routes as part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Development Project.
