Dubais RTA introduced drone technology to clean the facades of metro and tram stations

Drone technology has been implemented by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in partnership with Keolis MHI, the operator and maintainer of Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram, to clean the exteriors of metro and tram stations throughout the city.

The program represents a significant departure from conventional cleaning techniques, which usually call for up to 15 employees per station. By minimizing exposure to high-risk settings, the drone-based strategy greatly improves worker safety while operating with a streamlined workforce of only eight, decreasing labor requirements by more than 50%.
