Flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, announced on Wednesday, May 21, that it will begin offering direct flights to Damascus on June 1. Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB), will be the daily departure point for flights to Damascus International Airport (DAM).
The company began operating flights to Damascus in June 2009, over 16 years ago, making it one of its initial destinations. Following the notification earlier this year in April by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to resume flights between the two countries, Flydubai has decided to resume operations to Damascus.
