
Emirates and Sri Lankan tea manufacturer Dilmah Tea are commemorating their 33-year collaboration. On International Tea Day, the airline will give a special edition gift box to passengers on flights longer than 2.5 hours. Moroccan mint green tea, Ceylon tea with strawberry, and the Emirates' signature tea, Dombagastalawa FBOP1, flavored with rose, almond, and ginger, will all be included in the package.
On Wednesday, May 21, travelers in first and business class will have the opportunity to try mixed beverages made with Dilmah Tea in all Emirates lounges worldwide. Additionally, as part of its afternoon tea service on first and business class flights to the UK, Emirates' cabin crew will provide tea matching advice till the end of May.
Black tea with steak, game, desserts, or hard cheeses, and green tea with seafood, soft cheeses, and sushi are some of the tea and food combination suggestions provided by Emirates cabin staff. Dishes with a citrusy or acidic flavor character, like Emirates vegan zucchini tart, go well with floral teas like chamomile.
Emirates flights offer first class customers a daily selection of six gourmet tea types. Options include breakfast, sencha green extra special, Moroccan mint green tea, Emirates trademark tea, Earl Grey, and pure chamomile flowers.
Travelers in business class get a choice of five luxury leaf teas: Earl Grey, Ceylon tea, green tea natural, pure chamomile flowers, and green tea Moroccan mint. While Ceylon or natural green tea are options for luxury and economy customers.
