Authorities said Monday that a new digital project in the United Arab Emirates will assist in confirming the educational backgrounds of private sector employees. Employers in the private sector and employees with degrees from universities outside of the United Arab Emirates that cover skill levels 1 through 4 are eligible for the service.
At a later time, degrees awarded within the United Arab Emirates will also be included in the service. It is available to users through the website, smart application, and business service centers located around the nation of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE).
The MoHRE said in a statement that the "Academic Qualification Verification Project" provides a number of advantages to both the public and private sectors by using direct digital verification to guarantee the validity and correctness of academic credentials used in the hiring process. This simplifies the service into a single verification step for a one-time cost, permits more trustworthy hiring procedures, and minimizes the amount of paperwork needed.
Employees in the United Arab Emirates must have their educational credentials validated in order to be employed there. Before they can be used in the United Arab Emirates, foreign nationals must have their certificates authenticated in their home country. Ten working days or longer may be needed for this process. It takes two days to process certificates that have previously been authenticated in their native countries in the United Arab Emirates. This new project's debut will make the process easier and faster.
