Disneyland, the UAE's latest theme park, is scheduled to open in Abu Dhabi soon. This will be the seventh Disney resort worldwide and the first Disney theme park in the area. The "magical" resort was launched at a spectacular occasion on Yas Island, promising to introduce the Middle East to the enchanted world of Disney. The announcement of the new theme park coincided with Yas Island’s 15th anniversary.
Titled 'Disneyland Abu Dhabi,' the project is the first Disney theme park in the Middle East and the seventh in the world, after the parks in California, Florida, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
Situated on Yas Island Waterfront, the park will be ideally situated to act as a gateway to important travel destinations in the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia, and Europe. It will join SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World, and Warner Bros. World, enhancing Yas Island's standing as a major international center for entertainment.
