Processing time of documents to acquire work permits, residency visas reduced from 30 days to 5 days across UAE

With the launch of the Work Bundle platform's second phase on Tuesday, the processing time for the paperwork required to get work permits and resident visas has been shortened from thirty days to five days throughout the United Arab Emirates.

Together, a number of federal agencies and government ministries have developed a platform that will make it easier for private firms and business owners to hire new staff members and to pre-renew work permits for current workers.

All seven emirates are currently implementing the first phase, which was initially launched in April in Dubai. Over seven million individuals and approximately 600,000 enterprises will be covered by Work Bundle's second phase.

According to MoHRE, domestic workers will be covered in the third phase.

Work Bundle is now only accessible for businesses and employees via its website, workinuae.ae, but a mobile app will be released shortly.
