According to a new rule, the RTA has declared that it would henceforth be in charge of overseeing all tourist transportation throughout the city.
On Monday, September 8, the city's Roads and Transport Authority declared that it had partnered with the Department of Economy and Tourism to oversee all visitor transportation. The new modifications should make the system safer and more efficient overall, with the goal of creating an integrated transportation system for visitors around the city.
The RTA will be in charge of registering and renewing tourist cars under the new system, as well as issuing and extending permits for establishments that provide tourist transportation.
In order to completely comply with legislative and supervisory requirements, the authority will also grant professional licenses. Applications for the services will ultimately be handled by the RTA centers to guarantee a comprehensive and efficient service.
